“The death has been announced of Alan Miller (aka Dr Christopher Hyatt), author and publisher of Thelemic works, on 9 February at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Alan Ronald Miller, Ph.D., IX� O.T.O. (1943-2008 e.v.)

Brother Alan Miller IX� passed away on February 9, at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife Linda and son Michael in attendance. He had been bravely waging a long struggle with cancer, but suffered several strokes in his last week.”

I am sad to hear of this great man’s passing. I have been inspired over and over again by his works–the world has lost a fine mind.

Yes. This charming little fellow was standing outside the social club down the street from my domicile. So friendly, so engaging. He’ll be making an appearance somewhere visible soon.

It’s so nice to see that my works have effect. I feel better already. After a nice little gnosis and banishing this afternoonr, I come to find this. LOVELY!

Phenology. It doesn’t involve palpating one’s cranium to divine the future of an individual life through the movement of bony plates; That’d be Phrenology.

Phenology is the study of the times of naturally occurring phenomena. I never would have found this but for looking up something random that popped into my head one day–The Nenana Ice Classic.

I was thinking about my childhood and remembered my dad betting on it. It occurred to me I hadn’t realized it could be a valuable source of data on climate change; I Googled it and up comes an article from the Stanford Report…..here.

I bet Andy Goldsworthy already spends a lot of time thinking about these things….
