I’ve been sharpening my drawing skills quite a bit of late….nothing special here, but there’s a few things worth checking out…

Yet another in my background series, finally ready for public consumption. Enjoy, friends. If you like this, I have others. Please feel free to write and ask questions, you will likely spark an idea that may become another of these.

Obituary here.
“The death has been announced of Alan Miller (aka Dr Christopher Hyatt), author and publisher of Thelemic works, on 9 February at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I am grateful to Hymenaeus Beta, Frater Superior, OTO, for giving me permission to reproduce his obituary here…
Alan Ronald Miller, Ph.D., IX O.T.O. (1943-2008 e.v.)
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Brother Alan Miller IX passed away on February 9, at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife Linda and son Michael in attendance. He had been bravely waging a long struggle with cancer, but suffered several strokes in his last week.”
I am sad to hear of this great man’s passing. I have been inspired over and over again by his works–the world has lost a fine mind.

Standing alone on the surface of an unfamiliar orb. The sun’s rays scatter in ways unpredicted by the science my peers had created back on my home planet. There was discovered the need for a new way of seeing. Sadly, the scarceness of resources required for life kept my stay a short one. Is this a beginning?
Wow. The power of this woman’s images tears my heart up. Linky here.

Yes. This charming little fellow was standing outside the social club down the street from my domicile. So friendly, so engaging. He’ll be making an appearance somewhere visible soon.

This weblog will be undergoing some changes as I attempt to refocus & reorder my life. I will be henceforth only posting esoterica, magick-related and experiential writings & photos to this space.
Keep your eyes open though, there will be some interesting things going on around here!

Phenology. It doesn’t involve palpating one’s cranium to divine the future of an individual life through the movement of bony plates; That’d be Phrenology.
Phenology is the study of the times of naturally occurring phenomena. I never would have found this but for looking up something random that popped into my head one day–The Nenana Ice Classic.
I was thinking about my childhood and remembered my dad betting on it. It occurred to me I hadn’t realized it could be a valuable source of data on climate change; I Googled it and up comes an article from the Stanford Report…..here.
I bet Andy Goldsworthy already spends a lot of time thinking about these things….
